Visit in Paris - Reviews - Paris |
by ROBINSON. S. We loved our visit to Paris overall so it's hard to nominate one particular place. The Eiffel tower light show was spectacular. Also our visit to Montmarte, our cruise on the river and generally just discovering Paris on foot. Driving from Paris to the Loire Valley was 'Brave' if nothing else, and just beautiful staying at a 15th century B&B farmhouse. All our dining experiences were pleasurable, whether it was at a side walk cafe, fine restaurant dining, alfresco by the river Seine, or just buying some bread, cheese, meat and wine and having a picnic on the banks of a river near a castle. We negotiated the Paris traffic quite successfully and drove to the Loire Valley for a very relaxing and peaceful time in the country. We felt quite 'chuffed' with ourselves only to find complete frustration on our return when we spent half an hour or so trying to find the right spot in the car park to return our hire car. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our time in Paris. We found Bibliotheque a great location as it was quiet and close to the metro and the river. It was a pleasant surprise to be able to walk down to the river and sample the restaurants or catch the on/off ferry and explore Paris from another dimension. |
