stay in Paris - Reviews - Paris |
by HARM J. You better stay 3 weeks in Paris to see all (?) there is.Louvre (largest museum in the world, Dutch paintings and Roman&Greek sculptures), Tour d'Eiffel (amazing building), Pantheon (Foucault), Place du Tertre (one of the artists draw my daughter) and the amazing grave-yard of Montmartre. The underground is great (except the villains who are trying to rob you), but we preferred the bus. We dined six times, but I remember the lovely confit de canard with frites de la maison at Le Cercle (Quartier Latin, near to RER-Luxembourg). Zimmers, near to the Hotel de Ville, was good as well. We dined also at the Italian on the corner Rue de Poulbot, but that was terrible, except my snails (escargots). After one day, the Bed and breakfast-lady had to leave us for the next five days because of the death and funeral of a close related person. She gave us the key and the complete appartment and money for breakfast. So we rented a room and she gave us kindly her appartment. Incredible condidence! And it was a beautiful appartment (about 1890/1900) with wonderful ceilings and lovely hearths&mantelpieces. I visit Paris every time six days when one of our daughters finishes her exam and whe have four daughters!Last year number 1, this year number 2 (number 3: 2013, number 4: 2018). We love Paris, because of the architecture, the urban develoment (thanks to Hausmann) the ambiance and the food. And Christine H. was super! So: till August 2013! |
