stay in Paris - Reviews - Paris |
by VERDAM, F. During our stay in Paris, we have of course visited the icon of the city; the Eiffel Tower, but also saw the exposition of Manet in Musée d'Orsay, the Louvre, where we of course stopped at café Marly for a nice drink ans spectacular view on the people, and then at night saw Montmartre including the Sacre Coeur,Arc de Triomphe, and Champs Elysées. You can get good meals in Paris anywhere. It is not for nothing that the French kitchen is famous all over the world. We had good diner in Quartier Latin, ate Libanese cuisine at the roofed old fashioned shopping street of Monmartre, and enjoyed lunch in Le Marais. Please do not forget to go for tea in the tea garden of the big Mosque! We bought lots of fancy clothes just accross the street from our appartment, which was very nice if you don't want to walk around with shopping bags all day! Otherwise, the biggest shop you ever saw for kitchen items is "dehillerin" on the rue de cuillère, how appropriate, a must see for those of us who can appreciate the art of cooking! Paris is one of the most beautiful cities in the world, no matter what season you go there, there's always enough to experience. Otherwise, this B&B has the perfect location; it is close to one of the biggest metro stations and in walking distance of Le Marais, Les Halles and many more good places!!! |
