stay in Paris - Reviews - Paris |
by CHILD, A. We will never forget our stay in Paris, at Christine & Patricks home, an authentic taste of the Parisian life. We found the Catacombs and the City of the Dead were very interesting But, you can never beat Versailles and the beauty of the buildings and the exquisite gardens. If you go on the right day you get to see all the fountains going in each of the gardens. It is also worthwhile to visit Marie Antoinette's village that she had built.
We found watching the Juan Dame chase the illegal touts away from the Eiffel Tower. If you wish to see some of the museums for free the 1st Sunday of the month is the time to go however, be warned that the lines to get into the Louvre can be very long we ended up not going as the queue was extreemly long - we estimated 500 people long. Paris is a wonderful city the opulence of the buildings and the use of gold in many of their structures is awe inspiring. It truly is a beautiful city and we found that trying to speak french bran a smile to those we met. The Parisian people were warm and friendly towards us too. I think it was so lovely we will go back again. |
