by LANG K. Our stay in Bussy Saint George was very peaceful. The people were very helpful and the l;ocation around train station had a few good places to eat. We went on a boat trip along the Seine, which was very good value for money as you could hop on and off when you wanted. We would probably choose this method of travelling around next tim erather tha the Metro. We went 3/4 of the way up the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame was a lovely place and it felt very French, there, much more than Paris - the Champs de Lisse are. We didnt have particularl;y good meals anywhere, but there were quite afew good restaurants neare to Bussy St Georges in the food centre. aThe restuarants near to the sights were all expensive. Subway was a good alternative, less that 4 euros for a nice veggie sandwich. very expensive, but nice chinese resatuarnt near station at Bussy St George. We all found iot abit confusing on the metro, but had mastered it on the second day, hwoever my friend had her purse taken from her bag by a young woman theirf on the train, but she was apprehended by a fellow passenger, who gave the purse back to my friend. So be careful on the metro. Also the doors are very dangerous as they kept closing as you were half way in.!! The location, though a lovely house, was a bit far from Paris and this caused us to spend a lot more money on taxis and trains. But if you're well organised this can be overcome. .
