Museums in Paris - Reviews - Paris

by TRNKOVÁ M.

I visited Orsay and Branly Museums which were attractive for me and nice was also the free tickets day (3rd April 2011). There was pleasant to view area on the Montmarter, Luxemburg gardens, church St. Sulpice and botanical gardens (Gardin de plants). Every time I visite Paris go to Latin quarter, sit on some Cafe etc.

I would like to recommend the restaurant Le Louis 47 which is in Rue des Mathurins. It´s neer to Metro station Saint Lazare. The environment is fine and service ready to please. The unbeliveable was the owner closed this restaurant for other people then our 20 persons company. We had possibility to dicuss our work during the dinner.

Every time I have to laugh at the accepting of my bad French speaking. The status that French prefere talk to their´s own language is well-known. But for me is good possibility try to talk and have no bad feeling of it. Only if I could not find the right words I jumped to English to explain something.

If you like the historical Paris from books, films and paintings you have to stay in the heart of Montmarter. You can than take a pleasure in walking around the hill. If you hate modern housing than have to stay on Montmarter where is still traditional environment outside as well a cosy living inside.
