Stay in Paris - Tempo Libero - Paris |
by RHINEHART, A. EXCELLENT!!! We couldn't be happier with our stay in Paris. We hit the highlights... Eiffel Tower is best at night, Lauderee Bakery was a MUST, Shopping at the Swatch store, H & M, Monoprix was great. The Pantheon, the Seine River cruise, the Arch de Triomph... all wonderful sights to see. Paris offers so much to see it's hard to narrow it down. Be prepared to walk though! The Latin quarter was the BEST place for food... no question. Just over the river from Notre Dame. Perfect! Get a gyro and a gelato, head over to the courtyard at Notre Dame. It makes for a perfect backdrop for a reasonably priced & delicious meal. Always try the Plat du Jour... it's usually a good bet. We had fun with the language barrier. Ordering food was interesting, you just have to point to what you want. The French were pleasant and helpful overall. The grocery stores are very different that those in the US. Lots of wonderful products. I recommend visiting a grocery store for some authentic French snacks or candy. The Metro and bus system was EXCELLENT. It was easy to understand and navigate. There is A LOT of walking in Paris but the scenery is worth the sore legs. Don't miss the espresso! The French have a way with coffees that make every cup enjoyable. Watch the sun set behind the Eiffel tower and enjoy Paris for everything that it is... The most romantic city in the world. |
