Jules Verne in Paris - Reviews - Paris |
by CHRISTINA P. We had lunch at the Jules Verne on the second floor of the Eiffel Tower, which was wonderful. We requested and received a window seat and could see all of Paris spread out below us. The food was amazing, though I admit it was a little pricey. Just order off the Prix Fix menu and you'll be fine. We decided to take the tour of Notre Dame that takes you up into the bell tower and around the top of the building. It was 5 EUR for us because we are under 26, and you just wait in the line next to the cathedral to get in. What we didn't know was that you literally CLIMB to the top of Notre Dame! There were probably 300 spiral steps all the way up to the top, and I was in heels! I was out of breath coming DOWN those stairs!! But it was worth it, seeing the gargoyles up close and getting a very unique view of the rooftops of the cathedral, and also seeing the Emmanuel Bell. Paris is one of those places that you simply must visit in your lifetime. There is so much to see and do, eat, experience, and watch! Everywhere we looked there was something beautiful to see, even in the most mundane places. We were never bored, and each night we went to sleep looking forward to another day. |
