I really enjoyed visiting Monet's garden at Givoney, and seeing the roman ruins in the site under the Notre Dame cathedral. The Opera at the Bastille was most enjoyable.
The restaurant just 20 metres up the road from the apartment was probably the best we had - though we had no bad meals in Paris. The pastries and bread from the local boulanger were excellent. The Eiffel Tower area is really great !
Being from a rural area in Australia I needed one day while in Paris to see some open space and trees so went to the Bois de Bologne for a walk. I enjoyed walking around but was very disappointed with the state of parts of the area in terms of cleanliness - even though the rest of Paris seems to be kept very clean.
Location is handy to trains and the Eiffel Tower. The area seems to be safe and secure. The area is very "Paris authentic".
