We visited the exhibition in Paris at the Tuileries which was very nice. The main purpose of my viist though was to meet up with friends from across Europe and hence we did not visit the typical locations tourists visit. Just sitting in a cafe along one of the busier boulevards and observing people walking by is good fun
At Clémentine, rue Saint Marc. A very traditional bistro with friendly and attractive waitress who knew what she was talking about.
Le moulin de la Galette at rue Lepic, near Montmartre. It was a pity we had to sit inside because of the weather but the food was of a high quality if not cheap but then, is there anything cheap in Paris?
I tried to meet my friends who told me to go to Rue des petits champs near place des victoires.I could not find them because I went to Rue des croix des petit champs near place des victoires!
A waiter told us not to leave money on the table outside we had been eating because some "poor" people may snatch it away before you have realised it.
Paris is a very pleasant city to stroll with many narrow streets, markets, shops, bistros. There are also many beautiful old buildings and monuments and a very cosmopolitan crowd. One can eat very well if one avoids the typically touristic places. Drinks are generally too expensive. I paid 11€ for a poire Williams!
