Creperie in Paris - Reviews - Paris

by RICHARDS, T.

We took a long walk from the 8th to the 4th, and loved seeing where Proust stayed, along with the President's quarters, the Marais, Place des Vosges, and a delicious creperie in Paris. We also enjoyed the Musee d'Orsay, the Luxembourg gardens, and Rue Monge. We went to the Roman Arena, which was spectacular, even on a wintry summer day.

We enjoyed croissants and yoghurt at Paul's and salads at Cafe L'Institut, as well as spaghetti at a small cafe in the 6th. We had crepes at Creperie St. Eustache, which were spectacular. We loved the yoghurts in the clay pots, which gave a fresh taste to the variety of flavors in fruit and coffees.

We hope in the future that we may help the dogs in the city in more ways: this is not a funny story, but a sad one, in all major cities. Many of the dogs were chained to trees, and kept tied up by those who had no homes. We helped those who were homeless but also helped the dogs, often very young, who were trapped and often in need of play, romping and sustenance, not to mention proper veterinary care.

The neighborhood of the L'Etoile was a revelation to us during this trip. We have stayed in other beautiful neighborhoods as well, but this one had a combination of beauty, energy, and elegance. We loved the mix of eras, architecture, and art. The bus from the airport dropped us off in the neighborhood, also making it convenient and easy for traveling.
