by GUIDO F. Monuments in Paris: The Louvre is an awesome structure. The Arc of Triomphe, the Pont Alexandre III and its gilded scultures; Notre Dame Cathedral, The Hall of Justice, etc. Ancient landmarks are so well maintained which is something to admire. We saw many many great places by touring on foot away from tourist spots. At Au Bouquet we had a very late meal upon our arrival to the apartment. We had a lovely time here. Other times we lunched in the downtown area of Paris. Most of the hosts seemed genuinely friendly towards its customers. We enjoyed Italian food at the La Campagnola restaurant on avenue du Maine but Host/Owner was gruff. We had lunch with Quasimodo at the Cafe Ponte Neuf across from the Notre Dame Cathedral. We ate inside because there was too much pollution from the exhaust of the cars and cigarettes being smoked. It was cozier and quiet eating inside and no one was there but a statue of Quasimodo with a lantern. I suppose you mean at the Apartment location? Metro and Bus transportation are nearby; grocery stores, bakeries, hardware, pharmacies are available within short walking distance. Also the building complex where the apartment is located was kept clean and had eye appeal. Area was quiet and peaceful.
