our stay in Paris has been really nice ... lots of things to visit: Musee des Arts et Metiers (Reaumur metro stop) - incredibly interesting museum with lots to see
Jardin des Plantes (5th arrondissement - has great museums and in nice weather is a beautiful place to walk), Le Moufftard (5th arrondissement - neat little shops and restaurants), Places des Vosges (4th arrondissement - Victor Hugo's house and just a beautiful, serene place to spend some time)

Now some advices about restaurants in Paris: L'amuse bouche (14th arrondissement - mom and pop restaurant, excellent country French food), Swann et Vincent (14th arrondissement - excellent Italian food), Les Cocottes (7th arrondissement - excellent haute french cuisine for an excellent price), Charles Victor (14th arrondissement - excellent French food for a good price); get to all of these places "early" for lunch and dinner (i.e., 12 and 7) because they all fill up pretty quickly.

We didn't have any funny stories to tell - we just had a thoroughly enjoyable time in Paris. Our host was excellent and gave us a very nice French breakfast and even though we were sharing his apartment, it felt like we were at home. Even with the bad weather we had during half of our trip our stay in Paris wasn't ruined. It will take more than bad weather to not enjoy Paris. :)

Paris is an amazing city to visit - there are so many things to see and do that range from Roman times all the way to the present. Everyone we met was very friendly and of course the food is incredible. A 4 day stay wasn't enough, but sometimes it will have to do. This is a city we will definitely be returning to discover again and again.
