The Pigalle neighborhood has always had a reputation for being a bad place full of sex shops and gangs of criminals. A lot has changed though and only the picturesque buildings and fascinating streetscapes have remained. It's still not the best place to take a walk at 4am but controls and gentrification have greatly transformed the area. Your B&B holiday in Paris will surprise you. The sex shops are really just for tourists and the cabarets once filled with strippers are now concert halls. Montmartre and the Sacré Couer are literally around the corner but away from the tourist packed boulevard it's easy to enter a neighborhood that seems stuck in the 19th century. The informal, small town atmosphere is hard to miss. You won't regret spending your holiday in a Pigalle B&B in Paris!
