One of the most important and most famous churches of Paris is the Sacre Coeur Basilica.
It's impossible not to notice this construction that stands high above the city and is all white: you can even see it in the distance from other parts of the city.
If you are traveling to Paris a visit to the Sacre Coeur is highly recommended and if you are not afraid of heights it's worth climbing to the top of the cupola from which, like the top of the Eiffel Tower, provides a marvelous panoramic view over the city. Regarding opening hours of the Sacre Coeur in Paris keep in mind that the doors open at 6 in the morning and close at 10 in the evening. Also remember that proper attire is required inside: although it's a public monument it's also a church and one should never forget that when entering.
Entrance to the church is free if you remain inside the Basilica itself while if you decide to walk up to the cupola you must purchase a ticket for €5. The hours of the cupola are slightly more limited and it may be accessed from 9 am until 5:45 pm. Remember that the Sacre Coeur is located in the Montmartre neighborhood which is a great place to spend your stay in Paris in a B&B Montmartre where you can experience the artistic spirit and contradictions of the area.
