If Paris makes you dream… remember that sometimes dreams can come true and visiting Paris is always worthwhile even if you only have a few days.
If you are traveling alone or in a group, to make the most of your time, organize a Paris weekend itinerary beforehand that will make the most of every minute,
Start with the Champs-Elysée that gives you an instant idea of the grandeur of the city. It’s like love at first sight that makes the entire visit worthwhile and provides a sense of magnificence that is difficult to repeat. Taste a fresh squeezed orange juice and walk along rue Marceu byway of the Alma bridge. Climb up the Eiffel Tower and enjoy the incredible view of the city.
Then continue the visit along the Seine and hop-on a ferry boat that provides a wonderfully romantic atmosphere. Stop in front of Notre-Dame, it’s unmissable! At this point you may need to take a “baguette” break and you can choose from one of the many charming bistrots that offer a wonderful variety of food.
Once you’re re-energized head to the Louvre, it would be a pity to visit, even for only a Paris weekend, without going to the Louvre. Just make sure to time your tour carefully, a half-hour for the Mona Lisa and a couple of other important works then it’s off again. The Louvre is a museum that deserves a visit entirely for itself. It’s already afternoon so cross the Seine again over the Pont Neuf bridge and breath in the history.
It’s time to take the Metro that leads directly in a few minutes to any destination you wish. The Paris Metro deserves to be mentioned among the works of art in Paris and helps us conclude the day with a stop in Montmartre.
Take advantage of the view as the sun sets over the city and transforms the rooftops of Paris into an enchanting fairy tale panorama.
Dinner is waiting and should be finished with a delicious creme caramel, that’s homemade in nearly every restaurant of the city. Now head for home, the B&B you have chosen will be wonderful, your host will probably greet you with a nice glass of Bordeaux to chat over the events of the day before getting a good nights rest…tomorrow is another day!
