Jean Nouvel: R4 for l’Ile Seguin |
![]() As always Paris prooves itself to be the capital of culture but also a cutting edge city that isn't scared of combining old with new. It's an incredible city where investment in culture has never declined, in fact culture is a primary industry for the city and a sector that employees the most people. An incredible project both in size and scope is coming to completion on the island of Seguin in Boulogne Billancourt. The area has been renovated and is historic for the city as it was once home to a Renault factory on a little island on the Seine. In 2009 Jean Nouvel was given the job to rethink the area and create an urban development on grand porportions: Over 10 hectares of green space, 500,000 square meters of residential area, and 250,000 sqm of commercial area. The entire site in which many lots are still under construction is also home to two parks that are already open to the public. It's worth going to see this architectural marvel from superstar architect Jean Nouvel. I would go just to see how the construction is developing and for this we recommend you visit BBParis.com in order to reserve your vacation home. Staying in a guest houes Paris is convenient as it allows you to use an entire appartment without having to eat out everyday and therefore is ideal when traveling with the family and for spending less. |
