Wines of Paris. Small tour of wine cellars and bistrots.

As most people know France is famous for the production of some of the best wines in the world, even between the skyscrapers of Paris wine is the preferred drink. Where to go then during a Paris weekend dedicated to the search of good wine?
It’s easy, just organize a wine tasting tour of Paris. Visit a variety of bistrots and restaurants from the left bank of the Seine to Montmartre or one of the Royal cellars created by King Louis XV as a warehouse for the wines of the French court. One of the most famous is O Chateau, a beautiful wine cellar from the 17th century close to the center of Paris and near the Louvre in rue de l’arbre sec, 1° arrondissement. Besides the fascinating ambiance there’s the opportunity to taste and get to know French wines and cheese at both lunch and dinner time.
If you have the opportunity to adventure outside of the city a weekend in Paris could be transformed into a little tour of the vineyards beyond the city, where besides seeing how wine is cultivated you’ll be able to sample as much as you like. What to do at night is very simple…float along the Seine drinking a bottle of Champagne!
