Paris Set Free, Photographed Paris, Paris in Exhibition

1944 was a year of change for France, its disembarked allies in Normandy confronted the enemy until the territory was liberated. Paris set up an exhibition in the Carnevalet museum to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the liberation of France. Exceptional proof and documents make the exhibition rich as it is. Francois Boucher intends to document and educate, by means of articles and images, on the Second World War and in particular the Liberation of France. The exhibition is rich in photographic evidence that journeys back to 1944, that unforgettable year for the French. The exhibition is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10.00 to 18.00, closed on Mondays and public holidays (1st January, 1st and 8th May, Easter Sunday, the Saturday of the Pentecost, 14th July, 15th August, 1st November and 25th December); Tariff: 8€ (full price).

The Carnevalet museum can be found in Marais, one of the most beautiful and classical French neighbourhoods where you can find numerous vacation rental Paris on a budget. The museum is made of one hundred or so rooms containing sculptures, paintings, objects of furnishing and small models. The building itself is from 2000 and coordinates with the archaeological Crypt of Notre Dame, that also contains important historical evidence of the city of Paris.
