Summer in Paris – The events

Between parks and flowers, strolls in the open air and picnics by the canal, Paris is like a new city in the summertime. Even if the weather isn’t particularly inviting, there are organised open-air festivals, music, colour and electrifying events. Don’t delay! Book your Paris bed and breakfast to participate in one of the many scheduled events.

In the Bois de Vicennes, between April and May the Foire du Trône in the Bois de Vincennes will be staged: over 350 attractions, amongst them rides and rollercoasters. For music lovers, the Paris Jazz Festival is happening in June and July at the Parc Floral de Paris, while the Fête de la Musique is scheduled from 21st June with its many free concerts around the city.

Not to be forgotten is the 14th July celebration, a huge parade on the Champs-Élysées to remember the storming of the Bastille. Pride of Paris! The evening, at the Champ de Mars, a gigantic fireworks display that will cover the Eiffel Tower in a thousand colours.

Between July and August the de la Vilette film festival is due to take place, an open-air experience for visitors to enjoy while dining. For those who love a night time stroll, you can walk along one of the made up sandy beaches in a park or garden as it is light until late… in the worst of evenings, sunset is at 10pm!
