I had a wonderful stay at the accommodation, far cosier and pleasant than the usual hotels. Had a great walk also: first up to Av. Mozart, than towards Passy Plaza for a coffee stop. Next towards Pont de Bir-Hakeim via some wonderful little alleyways and typical Parisian steps down towards the river. From Bir-Hakeim a priceless view on the Eiffeltower, and continued walking in the middle of the Seine following Allée des Cygnes. Time for a great bite in the Beaugrenelle center, and back to the apartment again. Best afternoon in Paris for ages, and very do-able on your own.
If you go to the left coming out of the Square La Fontaine, and continue towards the metro station "Michel-Ange-Auteuil, you'll find multiple nice and accessible restaurants. Again, I was on my own (work ... work ...), so it is nice to be able to have quiet meal. Choices are either basic French, or Italian, Asian and others, enough choice.
There were no typical 'funny' stories, I just had a very enjoyable stay in Paris. The apartment is nicely located to allow you to do some basic food shopping, get to restaurants, make your metro connections. The people on the street are nice, and leave you alone, as always in the bigger cities. Go with the flow.
This area is bit of the beaten track, and that is why it is interesting: gives you the idea you are Parisian among the Parisians for a few days. And staying in an apartment instead of staying at a hotel only makes it more special. So, just put on you shoes, and walk!! Anyway, that's the best thing to do after a hard day of work.
