Place de la Nation was once called the square of the throne because it was here that Louis the 14th made his triumphal entrance into Paris. Today the most important streets of the city leave from this square and crisscross Paris. A bed & breakfast near Nation is a real dive into history. From the Cours de Vincennes and the two majestic columns of Leduex there is a magnificent view of Paris that includes the silhouette of the Eiffel Tower. In the center of the square stands the statue of the Republic.
